About the Author
Lauren Cassel Brownell is the author of the soon to be released novel Dying to Donate. While this is Lauren’s first novel, she is no stranger to writing and publishing having written for magazines in the US and Canada, served as a food columnist for one of Florida’s largest newspapers, and authored the book Zen and the Art of Housekeeping: The Path to Finding Meaning in Your Cleaning.
Lauren has always loved writing but got serious about the pursuit when she became a mom and would take her toddler on assignment covering local lifestyle stories for community magazines in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Her narrative nonfiction works have been published in a variety of anthologies including the best-selling Cup of Comfort for Women. Acting has always been another of Lauren’s passions and she recently has combined her love of writing and theatre by penning the short plays Leave it to Me and Swimming the Witch, both produced by local community theatres.
Lauren has always believed that the truth truly is stranger than fiction and loves exploring both in her writing.
